Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothing but a Number came out in 1994. The album was Gold at the age of fifteen years old. The collaboration was highly in the style of R. Kelly, and put the singer in the spotlight. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland on her second studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling song If Your Girl only knew. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B vocals with the album. In 2000 she starred in the romantic action movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li.
