Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's dad was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder has a younger brother Uria and half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family relocated to Mendocino, California in the year 2000, when Ryder was only seven years old. There was no electricity. The books on television were the only way for Ryder to spend the time and she began to read extensively. Ryder, then 12, took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in the year 1983. Lucas was dismissed in the year 1986. Ryder, who was only 15, landed the role of a leading actress. Ryder was bullied in the high school. Ryder was hopeful that her work as an actress would help. Sadly that didn't happen. But she continued to pursue her goal. In 1988 she had her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued playing characters that made a splash in several movies. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
