Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a singer who was born in Newark, New Jersey on the 9th August 1963. The parents of her are gospel singers Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. When she was a kid she performed in the New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. By the time she was fifteen, Houston was singing professionally with backing vocals alongside her mother for Chaka Khan's hit song in 1978 Im Every Woman. Jermaine, her mother and Lou Rawls were among those who she sang with. The singer was also a model for Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. Her work as the featured vocalist of New York funk group Material caught the eye of major record labels, including Arista and Arista, which she was signed in 1982, and was with them for the rest of her life. The first Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It became one of the top-selling albums by an artist. The album released several hit singles including Saving the Day, All My Love for You How Are You Going to Know If You Give Good Love and The Greatest Love of All. This led to her achieving seven US number one hits in a row. She beat even the Beatles. Album was sold out in US 3,000,000 copies before it increased to 25 million worldwide. This earned her the first in her 6 Grammy Awards. The Whitney album of 1987, featuring the tracks that I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to, continued her success. But it is The Bodyguard of 1992 that made her one of the biggest-selling artists in history. While the film wasn't well-received and neither did her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top spot on both the singles and album charts in the United States for a period of time. She sold 44,000,000 copies. That same year she got married to Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She had their only daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married in the month of March, 1993. In 1996 her daily use of drugs was documented.

Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American reporter anchorwoman as well as political correspondent for CNN. The anchor has also created several of the network's Saturday programs such for instance Evans & Novak' Late Edition and Inside Politics.'
