Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy (born on 17 October 1992), is an Indian actress. She is a regular on screen in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. The actress was awarded the National Film Awards' Best Actress award for portraying Savitri as the lead actor in the Telugu film Mahanati (2018). Her other awards comprise three SIIMA Awards, a Filmfare Award South, and three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy Kumar's parents are filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar & actor Menaka G. Suresh. She started her career as a child actor at the beginning of 2000 and went back to film after studying fashion design. She played her first major role as a lead actress in Geethaanjali (2013) which was an Malayalam feature film. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy took on her very first Malayalam projects as well as started working with Tamil at the same time. In the year 2015, she debuted A. A. Vijay's romantic comedies Idhu Enna Maayam and Vikramprabhu opposite one another. The films did not do well in cinemas. Because of her hectic schedule for 2015, she had no choice but to pull herself out of projects on which she was already doing work, such as Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye or Deekay's Kavalaivendam. This meant that she worked on two films, Rajini Murugan followed by Remo featuring Sivakarthikeyan. Dhanush also played the role of Thodari as Thodari in Prabhu Solomon's Thodari. In 2015, the film was later delayed and reports claim that Janakitho will release in September 2020. In the year 2016 Nenu Sailaja which starred Ram Pothineni, was her debut. Keerthy first appeared in Bairavaa alongside Vijay and directed by Bharathan. Keerthy was in Tamil movie Paambhu Satai along with Telugu film Nenu Local both in 2017.
